What counts as an active directory user? An active, licensed account with a mailbox in your Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 tenant. Porcia uses this count to scope discovery—the more mailboxes we can see, the more complete your inventory. Archived, suspended, or deleted accounts are not counted.

Archived, suspended, and deleted accounts are excluded. Most organisations have 1.2–1.5 workspace users per employee when you include shared mailboxes and service accounts.
